USS Chicago CG 11 began life as a Baltimore Class cruiser CA 136 in 1945.  She was reclassified as guided missile cruiser by in 1958, and entered into a dry dock for what was planned to be a 5 year conversion.  She was not recommissioned until 1964.  She was deployed to the coast of Vietnam 5 times, performing duties of shore bombardment and air cover using her newly installed Talos missile batteries. She is shown firing one of those missiles in this work by Mark Karvon.
