The F/A 18 Hornet is a twin engine, multi-mission fighter -
attack aircraft that was introduced to take over the role of both F-4
Phantom II, the A-7 Corsair, and the A-6 Intruder. It can be operated from
aircraft carriers and land bases, and is currently flown by many US Navy and US
Marine Corps squadrons. The F/A 18 Hornet is capable of performing day and
night attacks with precision-guided weapons, air to air defense, fighter escort,
close air support of ground troops, maritime strikes, suppression of enemy air
defenses, forward air control and air-to-air refueling. Aircraft models A
through F have been in use since circa 1980, with the current models being the
F/A 18E (single seat) and F/A 18F (twin seat) Super Hornet versions. These
2 new models have significant advantages in speed, range, ordnance load, and
avionics over the older models. Navy and Marine Corps squadrons have been
transitioning to these new models for the past few years.
Mads Bangso has captured the power, sleekness, and grace of
the F/A 18 with his realistic and unique portrayal of these birds in profile.
In either his "On the Cat" or "In Flight" configurations, the Hornets and Super Hornets look
awesome. You can personalize your drawing to a great degree by specifying
a number of parameters in the form below. For any item that is not filled
in, we will use entries appropriate for the squadron, model and time frame you
select.

Pictured below are 4 examples of F/A 18 Hornet profile
drawings produced by George Bieda. As you can see, he covers the gamut of
models and squadrons with his highly detailed drawings. Unfortunately, we
cannot show them all, but George has done nearly every combination of squadron
and model. If you don't see your aircraft described in the
Squadron/Configuration list below, give us a call. We know George will be
able to produce a drawing for you!
