USCGC Healy at Sea by Thomas Picard

The 420ft. USCGC Healy WAGB 20, homeported in Seattle, WA, is the Coast Guard's newest and most technologically advanced icebreaker.  She is capable of continuously breaking 4.5 ft. of ice at 3 kts.  In addition to the Coast Guard's usual missions of search and rescue, environmental protection, maintanence of shipping lanes, etc, HEALY has 4,200 sq. ft. of scientific space, and can carry out a wide variety of scientific explorations.  In this dramatic print, she is shown on patrol in Arctic waters.
