A neglected component of the US Fleet for decades, the first Gulf
War revealed a new need for ships capable of both laying mines and
detecting/destroying enemy mines.

Before
they were transferred to the Coast Guard in 1966, the US Navy operated a fleet
of icebreakers. Shown here is an older print of the USS Staten
Island AGB 5. Since George completed this drawing, we've added a
US flag, commissioning pennant, builder's plaque, and ship's stats to all
profile drawings. Though we don't have an image right now, these would
appear on every profile. George has also done these ships in their
US Coast Guard Configurations. Be sure to select a ship and print options when
ordering!
