Profile drawings have
been a very popular subject with us for a number of years. This is
primarily because of the artists' abilitry to provide highly customized and
personalized drawings, so that you are purchasing a piece of art that is not
only unique, but also depicts the actual aircraft you flew or maintained, or the
ship you served aboard. We are very pleased to now be able to offer
you profile drawings by 2 fine artists, in addition to those of Mr. George
Bieda, whose work we have represented for several years.
Mads Bangso
is a Danish artist who has a great love of US Navy and US Marine Corps aircraft.
He produces highly detailed and customizeable profile drawings of both historic
and current aircraft. When selecting a Mads Bangso drawing, we ask for a lot
of information, but this helps us to make the drawing of your aircraft very
personal. Drawings can be ordered in either the "In Flight" configuration, or
"On the Cat" ready for launch. Below are
several examples of his work. Click on the thumbnail image to view a

Super Stallion
Christopher
Cosner's latest painting pays tribute to the versatile and powerful CH-53E
"Super Stallion". The Super Stallion is the workhorse and savior for the U.S.
Marine Corp. Capable of lifts up to 16 tons, the Super Stallion has been
tasked to carry out challenging and dangerous missions all over the world on
short notice. When Captain Scott O'Grady was shot down over the skies of
Bosnia in June of 1995, he was liberated by the welcome sight of the U.S. Marine
Corp and the CH-53E Super Stallion.

The Extenders
In "The Extenders," by artist Dru Blair,
several KC-10's are depicted lining up for take off as the crews prepare to
launch yet another vital support mission. The fog shrouded runway creates an
aura of intrigue and mystique, and is consistent with the quiet reputation of
this essential, but often overlooked aircraft as it carries out its critical
task.

captures the hair-raising moment as the F-4U Ol' Eagle Eye hurtles from

Pappy Boyington
And
speaking of Major Greg Boyington.... "Pappy" Boyington is
perhaps one of the best-known American aviators to have fought in WW II.
Flamboyant and controversial, he won his fame as the leader of VMF-214, the USMC's "Black Sheep" Squadron. For his bravery and
devotion to duty,
Major Boyington was a recipient of the Congressional Medal of Honor.
