Coast Guard 44 ft. Motor Life Boat Profile Drawings by George Bieda The design of the 44 ft. Motor Life Boat was so unique that it served as the basis for future life-boat designs. It was self righting and self bailing, and could operate in extreme conditions of weather and surf. They began service in 1962 and continued through 2010 when CG-44301, the first production boat, was taken out of service.
The Coast Guard 41 ft. Utility Boat The Coast Guard's 41 ft. Utility Boat (UTB) is the workhorse of the multi-mission units. They were built in the mid 1970's and over 170 of these boats are in service today. Their speed and maneuverability make them ideal for a variety of missions. On the right is CG-41387 out of Seattle, WA. Click on the image for a larger view, then click your browser's BACK button to return here.
