Shown here are the USS Ticonderoga (CG-47), and the USS Lake Champlain (CG-57).  The most striking difference is the Vertical Launch System (VLS) on the Lake Champlain, which replaced the twin rail launchers on the bow and stern of the Tico.

This painting depicts the brilliance and fury of an SM-2 missile as it launches from the forward Mk 41 vertical launch system (VLS) of the USS Princeton (CG-59)

Recently retired from the US Navy, Chief Darryl Strader was the lead Firecontrolman on board the USS Princeton when he and the dedicated individuals of his fire control team launched this missile.

Printed on 65 lb. museum-quality acid-free stock, this print is available in two sizes, with the 10" x 15" print also offered professionally matted and framed.
