"The Praying Soldier" by Murphy A. Elliott
Kneeling in prayer after
the day's battle, the weary soldier asks for strength and guidance. This
pencil drawing by Murphy Elliott has been an inspiration to many, as evidenced
by the 2009 poem "Strength and Honor" by Jacqui Essex -
"Without a sound the soldier slowly
knelt and bowed his head
Shoulders bravely bearing such burdens for what lay ahead
He cleared his mind of all the horrors of which he did dread
And gently clasping his weapon he softly whispered his quiet prayer
'Lord please care for my family in my home so far away
And take into your arms those who will die here this day
Let me stand steadfast and strong, true to my comrades in arms
Give us strength to fight enemies who want freedom taken away
Dear Lord grant me the grace to live and fight just another day'
Standing tall and steady and with steel in his eyes
He gripped his weapon and raised it to the skies
And with a clenched fist he shouted the soldier’s battle cry
Strength and Honour !!!"
We are pleased to offer this dramatic work in 2 popular
sizes. Prints are produced with high quality giclee equipment, on heavy
weight, acid-free, archival matte stock.

"Far From Home" by SSG Timothy Chiasson

This drawing was done to
honor all those Officers and Enlisted who have served in either or both OIF and
OEF. Their dedication to the task at hand, and their support of ending the
conflicts in other nations has helped to move the worldwide struggle against
terrorism forward. The images in the background represent the countries involved
in these conflicts, and the U.S., which is the leading force in the world
against international terrorism.
"Far From Home",
based on SSG Chiasson's original pencil drawing, is being offered as a
limited edition print, SSG Chiasson's first. Only 250 of these 14"
x 21" (image area) prints will
be produced using our high quality giclee equipment on heavy-weight, acid-free,
archival stock. Each print is inspected, signed and numbered by the
artist.

"Awaiting
Orders" by SSG Timothy Chiasson
|
Here is the first work in a series that will pay respect
to the women who give up their civilian lives for service
to their country in our Armed Forces. Others will follow honoring women in
other MOS's and branches. "Awaiting Orders" pays tribute to women
leaders with the MPs standing by for their next mission that will take them and their teams
out into harms way. The accurate reproduction of SSG Chiasson's original sketch captures the subtle touches and shading of his work.
Similarly, the background closely matches paper used for his original
sketch. This
10" x 12" (image area) print is printed on a heavy weight,
acid-free archival stock to ensure many years of enjoyment.

"Lean on me, Brothers" by SSG Timothy Chiasson
The subtitle of this offering from SSG Timothy
Chiasson is "As we remember those who made it home." In SSG Chiasson's own
words, "This picture was drawn in honor of those who have made the ultimate
sacrifice. The three soldiers in the drawing were based on a picture taken
during the 2009 War Fighter Competition at Fort Leonard Wood by Amanda Stillwell
for the Military Police. The Memorial Grove was added as this is where all
Military Police visit during their training. Right before they greduate,
they walk under the Bronzed Crossed Pistols and are inducted into the Military
Police Corps.
The soldiers' weapons are stacked to the side, as the
Memorial Grove is a place to remember and reflect. It was also said by a
past Regimental Command Sergeant Major that, 'When a soldier falls, we will
remember them always. Their names will be placed on bricks for all to see.
This will welcome them home as they will never be forgotten.'
I would personally like to thank the USAMPS Command Group for
allowing this picture to be made, and for everything the Military Police
Regimental Association does for soldiers!"
This print is available as an open edition, high quality giclee
print on a heavy weight, acid-free, archival paper stock. Our unique
printing technique accurately captures the essence of SSG Chiasson's pencil
sketch. The image area of the print is 19" X 20".
SSG Chiasson has very generously donated his original sketch
to the Military Police Regimental Association, headquartered at Fort Leonard
Wood, MO. The MPRA is conducting a raffle for the sketch, with proceeds to
be used for its Scholarship Fund. To participate in the raffle, click HERE.

"Bless Our NCO's" by SSG Timothy Chiasson
"Bless Our NCO's" is a drawing dedicated to the women
in the military. The angel in the background is not meant to represent
any specific religion, but rather to show that a "guardian angel" is watching
over our leaders as they train and develop the skills of our younger soldiers.
SSG Chiasson describes his work as "a drawing dedicated to our female squad
leaders who train, mold, and lead the younger soldiers during training, and in
combat. 'Bless Our NCO's' is for all MOS's in the Army, as women
become more skilled, and show they have a place within our ranks." This
detailed print helps to fill the gap of artwork featuring the role of women in
our military. We are planning others to follow soon! Click on the
thumbnail image for a larger view, then click your browser's BACK button to
return here and order. We have developed a unique printing technique that
results in a print that captures the fine detail of SSG Chiasson's work and
closely simulates his original sketch and paper selection. We're sure you
will enjoy it! The image area of "Bless Our NCO's" is 15 1/4" X
17", and it is printed on a 17" X 19" sheet.

"Team Work" by SSG Timothy Chiasson
This print is based on the original drawing by SSG Chiasson of a
three-man team from a squad of the 511th MP Company. The
team was
conducting overwatch of the 2006 Iraqi elections at the castle of Tal'
Afar City, and was responsible for the security of over 1000 Iraqi citizens as
they voted. This team included a radio operator and spotter. Team
members were armed with an M203 Grenade Launcher, M-4s and 9 MMs. Squads
were generally used for this mission, but teams worked on their own as leaders
conducted meetings. The print is produced on a heavy-weight, acid-free
archival paper for many years of enjoyment. The prints are available in 2
sizes, and can be purchased framed or unframed. For a larger image, click

God's Own Lunatics
"God's
own lunatics," is the phrase coined by noted reporter and co-author of "We Were
Soldiers Once, and Young" Joe Galloway. (The book later became a hit movie
starring Mel Gibson.) Joe bestowed this title as a token of respect
and admiration for helicopter crews in Vietnam, and their willingness to go anywhere,
anytime, in support of ground forces. Galloway witnessed this first-hand
during the Battle of Ia Drang in 1965.
In his newest print, artist Joe Kline has captured the
teamwork, commitment, and devotion to duty required to complete the mission of
extracting a Long Range Reconnaissance Patrol under heavy enemy fire.
