USS Los Angeles SSN 688 Commemorative Prints and Drawings

USS Los Angeles SSN 688 was decommissioned 23 JAN 2010 in Los Angeles after 33+ years of service.  It is the intention of the decommissioning committee that at least a portion of the boat will become a part of the museum there.  To commemorate the decommissioning, and to honor the ship and the crews that manned her, two of our artists have produced artworks featuring the LOS ANGELES.

Mark Karvon has taken a different approach to the de-activation of USS Los Angeles.  He has produced a commemorative work showing the sub at sea, with a cutaway view showing her above and below the water-line.  The location represented is just off the US coast, as the Continental Shelf drops off into the ocean's depths.  Here, she is about to run Swift, Silent, Deadly!  The print is offered in two sizes, both signed by the artist.  You can view a larger version of the image by clicking on the thumbnail, then click your browser's BACK button to return to this page.  Below the print image, Mark has included both first and last ship's patch, along with the dates of service.  Discounted prices will only be in effect through February, so don't miss the opportunity to pick up this terrific print, and save a few dollars!
