USS Antietam CG 54, a Ticonderoga Class guided missile cruiser, was commissioned on 6 June 1987 in Baltimore, MD. She is one of 11 US Navy shipped currently forward deployed at Yokosuka Japan. Her credentials include circumnavigation of the globe in 2005, and participation in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Her armament platform can be devastating. She carries a mix of 122 missiles in her vertical launch system that includes surface to surface, anti-air and missile, and anti-submarine types, along with Harpoon anti-ship missiles, 2 – 5 in, 62 caliber Mark 5 rapid fire guns, Phalanx CIWS systems and Mark 32 torpedoes. In this drawing, ANTIETAM is shown as she appears today but we can configure her for anytime in the ship's life.
All our ship and aircraft profile drawings are by George Bieda, a retired US Navy Captain with over 27 years of service. George calls upon his vast knowledge and experience, plus an extensive reference library to compose historically accurate drawings. Each drawing is individually numbered and digitally signed by the artist, making them a one of a kind item.
Each of our drawings represents a specific time period in the ship's life. That's why we ask for your "Years with Interest" Our artist will configure the ship's profile and stats to conform to that time period. A range of years provides sufficient information.
Our profile drawings are printed with high quality commercial giclee equipment on heavy weight, acid-free, archival stock, using inks with lightfastness ratings of over 100 years when displayed properly. Each drawing is individually numbered and digitally signed by our artist.
To make your drawing truly unique, we will add up to 3 lines of personalization to the drawing (25 characters max per line). You can use all three lines, or just one or two, the choice is yours! There is no extra charge for this service! If you have any questions about personalization, check out our suggestions on our "Personalization Tips" page, or phone us at 609-264-5256.
